For the last 60 years, this is what we believe and stand for as a beekeeping equipment company.

Our mission is to produce professional beekeeping machinery ensuring beekeeper’s best interest. We offer state-of-the-art and high-quality beekeeping machinery with respect to bees’ natural environment and beekeeper’s needs.

Apitec specializes in manufacturing beekeeping equipment and providing feed products needed during bee feeding. Our company supplies honey extractors, uncapping machines, honey packaging machines, bee-feeds, honeycombs, beehives and all essential tools required by the beekeeper.

Beekeeping machinery is manufactured by high quality stainless steel, according to all modern standards, and in compliance with the Greek and European regulations. Apitec’s fundamental principles are innovation and continuous improvement of its products and services.

Bee feed products are strictly developed in accordance with honey bees’ natural diet to sustain the colony and keep it healthy with essential nutrients throughout the year. Apitec’s bee feeds are produced by certified raw materials.

Ομαδικότητα

1967

Establishment

The company was established by two brothers. They began to manufacture sulfur sprayers and smokers.

1967-75

In a national beekeeping contest which was being organized by the Agricultural Bank of Greece in order to promote entrepreneurship, Κ & Ε EVANGELOPOULOS always had the lead.

1974

Development

The business was expanded by manufacturing the first tools for beekeepers, such as smokers, combs, clips, etc.

1989

Evolution

Another company was established having as a dominant member one of the two brothers, Vangelis Evangelopoulos and his two children, Miltiades and Dimitris. The new business was entirely focused on beekeeping equipment. Headquartered in Sofades (near Karditsa city) and initially employed five workers.

Today

Towards the future

The company was carried on by Vangelis Evangelopoulos' two sons, Miltiades and Dimitris. Miltiades Evangelopoulos studied Economics at the University of Macedonia and Dimitris Evangelopoulos studied Engineering in Thessaloniki. Nowadays, the company is located in Karditsa, at the 1st km of Sofades - Karditsa highway. It is a modern factory of 3000 m2. The enterprise employs 15 workers and our products can be found in selected stores throughout Greece. A significant percentage of our sales is oriented to abroad. Overall we export to 10 countries located in Europe, Asia and Africa.

Apitec was the first company in Europe, which manufactured honey extractor with a touch screen
The company modernized the uncapping procedure with deboxer, feeder, hot water generator with pump and speed control
Apitec manufactures wax press with internal screw 1,20m and total width 1,80m
Apitec provides to beekeepers a complete range of bee feed products tailored to honey bee nutritional needs throughout the year

Attiki Honey

Our association with Attiki Beeculturing S.A. – A.Pittas started several years ago and has evolved to a strong and long-lasting relationship. The love for the honeybee and its valuable products is the one that connects us.

As part of dealing with the honey and the honeybee, our company has been in excellent cooperation with Attiki Beeculturing S.A. – A.Pittas for more than 25 years. An aspect of this partnership is the Honey Collection Station for the Thessaly region, as the official representative
Beekeepers have the opportunity to sell their honey to Attiki. Sampling of honey batches, sensory evaluation, quality control and price determination are performed in collaboration with the Purchasing Department of the Attiki company.

Cooperative Bank of Karditsa

The collaboration with the Cooperative Bank of Karditsa begun in 2015 with our own initiative. The Cooperative Bank of Karditsa offers the Contractual Apiculture Program for purchases made from our company.

It is a big step in the honey market because this specific program will improve the financial planning and the cash flow of a beekeeping business.

We feel that our company has contributed a little bit to the development of beekeeping in the region of Central Greece.
